“Grid” – via oneword (presents a single word prompt and gives 60 seconds to write)
they were parked in, stuck in a traffic snarl that filled the grid, crossed all the lines and would have had them in trouble with the police, if the police had anyway to get over all the cars that were also blocking the gridd. That was okay though, because they had just discovered that their lives were just as interlocked. She was his sister.
Empty Savings
I am standing here behind you, staring at your dark hair whipping in the wind. I silently sneak up to you until your hair is wrapping around me, hugging me the way I always want you to. I am enfolded in your tresses as you key my birthday into the ATM. You may remember me still, but how much longer can I endure these caresses before your memories start to fail? All those twenties spilling out of the machine, can you afford to take that much from savings? What have I missed in the last few weeks? Being dead sucks.
Dear Jenny,
How are you? I am good. Yesterday my mommy defeated the goblin king. I was a big help she told me. She told me that the goblin king was so surprised by the paper mirror I made that he just stopped to stare and that is how she was able to win.
I think this is totally awesome!
Do you remember my pet bunny? His name is Malice. Grammy says that it is funny to name my pet after me, but that is what he says his name is.
Grammy yells at Malice for eating her garden. Malice says that Grammy knows better. I don’t know what he means sometimes.
I don’t want to go back to school but I miss playing with you. My mommy says that you can come to a sleep over before school starts. Can you ask your mommy if you can come? I want you to come.
Love,
Alice
