Work related nonsense
So… I come into work and check my email to find out what the priorities are for tonight. Normally I get a excel sheet sent to me that list out which lines are most important. Today, that chart was half empty. It only listed 1 and 2. 3 and 4 were missing.
Then I find out that we aren’t making target and it is vital that we stay on top of keeping the machines running. And half the crew is being sent to work in a different department. And we’re running understaffed. And the crew that is staying isn’t the normal crew. And we’re going to shut down to do a “ritual cleansing”. And more.
Wow.
Then I find out that half of the crew are no longer required to perform the most vital of quality checks. And haven’t for months.
I was and still am shocked by this. I don’t know how to deal with finding out that the MOST important check is no longer being performed by most of the people whose job it used to be to make sure the product worked.
I have no idea how to deal with this. Should I risk my job by calling out the morons who made this change or should I risk it by waiting until the sky falls down because no one will buy our product anymore because who bloody knows if it is any good!?
